According to data from the National Association of REALTORS®, 62 percent of people believe that now is a good to time sell a home and that number goes up to 69 percent when looking specifically at the West Coast.
However, whether or not it is a good time to sell a home is largely dependent on the specific circumstances of the potential seller and the condition of the local economy. NAR’s 2016 Profile of Home Buyers and Sellers shows that the most common reason for selling a home is that it is too small.
Check out NAR’s 2016 Fourth Quarter HOME survey for information on consumer sentiment about the real estate market.
The market in the South Puget Sound has been relatively brisk and our inventory in Thurston County went down to a 1.65 month supply from a 2.4 months supply this time last year (6 months supply is considered a balanced market between buyers and sellers).
Homes for sale here are in huge demand.
